Join us for an Italian needlelace workshop led by textile artist Carly Chubak. You will be introduced to the basics of Italian punto in aria, stitches in the air, one of the earliest styles of needlelace. The lace was developed from cutwork and drawn thread embroidery in the 1500s. You will learn this historical craft and make your own sample of lace using only a needle, thread, and a fabric base.
